| 马士英(约1591～1646) 中国明代末年魏忠贤的阉党余孽，奸臣。贵州贵阳人。别字瑶草。万历进士。崇祯末年任凤阳总督。明崇祯十七年 (1644) 三月，李自成进北京，崇祯帝朱由检自缢。南京诸臣仓卒议立新君。马士英内结宦官韩赞周、勋臣刘孔昭，外约总兵黄得功、刘良佐、高杰、刘泽清等，拥立福王朱由崧于南京，成立了第一个南明政权。但这个政权实际上是控制在马士英、阮大铖等人的手中。马士英任东阁大学士兼都察院右都御史，仍督凤阳等处军务。他起用阉党阮大铖，压制东林党人，排斥史可法等人，卖官鬻爵，聚敛财富；引导福王尽情享乐 ，置军国大事于不顾。清顺治二年 (1645)春，清豫亲王多铎率军南下，五月初，南京陷落，福王政权亡。马士英南走浙江杭州、绍兴等地，最后入太湖投长兴伯吴日生军中，清军围剿太湖时被擒杀。一说马士英遁逃台州后，入四明山削发为僧，清贝勒命剥其皮，实之以草，械至道旁，以快公愤。 因马士英与阮大铖朋比为奸，史皆马、阮并称，视为奸佞。 |
