苍山玉带云游路位于苍山半山腰海拔2600米处，北起小岑峰，南止圣应峰，全长16.2公里（不包括岔景区路的长度），途经6座山峰，5条溪流。整条游路路基宽为2～2.5米，中间铺设有效路面为1.5米，路中间用青石板铺设，两边是弹石，路边采用石条做路沿石，并设有排水沟。在圣应峰设了专门的停车场，面积为1016.81平方米。
苍山玉带云游路工程于1991年8月初开始踏勘动工，1992年底完成全部工程，经过1993年雨季考验后，有各施工队进行清理维修，正式开始使用。整个工程历时3年，总投资240万元。苍山云带云游路象一条银线，把云南最高的苍山电视转播台和半山的风景点桃溪、中和寺、风眼洞、龙眼洞、七龙女池、青碧溪、感通寺连接了起来。
从下关坐公交车到感通寺下车，游完感通寺，你就可以踏上玉带云游路，沿途游览这些位于苍山山腰的奇妙景观了。
