With the language materials from The Complete Tang Poetry,this paper makes an all-round analysis and gives a detailed description of the connotative meanings of the noun "云(meaning cloud)" by probing into its uses,in order that a model of reference may be provided for the semantic analysis of the connotative meaning of the nominal sememe.
