People often regard the "xiansheng"(先生) in Analects of Confucius as "fathers and brothers",but the whole documents and quoted materials by later generations and the Confucian educational backgrounds proved the better explanation is "teachers".
传统上把"有酒食先生馔"中的"先生"解释为"父兄",而全文的解释以及后人的引用和儒家的教育背景都证明把此处的"先生"释为"老师"更为恰当。
