戏曲选集在戏曲史研究中极少有人关注,但它保存了戏曲文献,体现了戏曲史由雅向俗、由案头剧向场上剧的发展进程,体现了戏曲体制的发展和观众审美观念的变迁,而这些方面从其他材料是无法认识到的。
