中国唐代初期欧阳询、裴矩、陈叔达等人于唐武德七年 (624)奉敕编纂的一部现存较早的类书。共 100卷，100万余字。全书分岁时、治政、产业等46部，727个子目。征引古籍1431种, 分门别类，摘录汇编。先引史实，后列诗文，使"文" 与"事" 契合互补，变更了以往"文"自为总集，"事"自为类书的常规体制。所引故事，都注出书名。所引诗文, 都注出时代、作者和题目，并按不同的文体，用〔诗〕、〔赋〕、〔赞〕等字样标明类别。其所征引古籍，已大部亡佚，自汉代至隋代的词章名篇多赖此得以流传，因此本书历来为辑佚、校勘工作所资鉴。清代严可均辑《全上古三代秦汉三国六朝文》，主要摘录自本书。世人也多用以查检唐代以前的诗文、典故、名目及历史人物事迹等。1982年，上海古籍出版社出版汪绍楹校本,附有人名及书名、篇名索引。
