| 神灭神不灭之争 中国佛教和儒家之间的争论。佛教认为灵魂可以脱离肉体长存，为法身常住。儒家反对此说，认为肉体既亡，灵魂散尽，如春荣秋落，四季交替一样。东汉以后佛儒两家为此不断争论，有多本著述行世。南朝齐末儒生范缜著《神灭论》，提出精神要依形体而存，形亡则神亡，把两者关系譬之为刀刃和锋利的关系，确定了精神从之于形体的关系。此说引起朝野大哗，佛教徒起而攻难，梁武帝亲自作《敕答臣下神灭论》，神灭论之争达到高潮，仍不能驳倒范缜。梁以后形神关系的争论逐渐减少，但仍时有发生。 |
