Some views on network-based course design for adult learners;

It explores the adult learners motivations and obstacles in English learning by questionnaire and interview, analyzes their learning styles which disagree with the nature of language learning.

In mathematics teaching in adult education,if math teachers can attach importance to the characteristics of adult students,using a specific mathematical language and basing on the process,to explore the students potential and to stimulate their interest for math,there will be a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere,which plays a positive role in raising mathematics literacy of the adult students.

Although many adult students have spent a lot of time and energy in learning English,they can not receive satisfactory results.

As the member of the college students,the adult students have particular characteristics.

On the basis of a questionnaire completed by adult learners,with the aids of SPSS,the author briefly analyzes the influences that personal factors,such as motivation,anxiety and their personality,have on English achievement and reading ability.

With reference to teaching adult learners Business English in Zhejiang Radio and TV University,the author of this thesis conducted a case study and did a proper qualitative and quantitative analysis of BE teaching on the basis of second language acquisition theories and constructivist learning theory.
