石河子军垦第一楼正南一箭之地，有个杂花生树，滴翠泼彩的秀丽广场，她就是石河子市中心的游憩广场。
广场北入口处，有三个荷兰菊篱环绕的草坪，每个草坪中，有九棵碧绿苍翠的红皮云杉，组成一朵绿色的梅花。草坪旁，高擎蓝天的银色高杆灯，给广场之夜平添几分辉煌。步入广场，首先映入眼帘的，就是喷银吐玉，欢腾雀跃的喷泉。她位于东西南北轴线的交点上，是广场最诱人的景观。喷泉泉面呈六瓣花型，泉中有106个喷头，最中间的一组分三个层次，最高层次喷水近20米，水柱雄豪，颇为壮观；周围作为衬景的小喷泉，所喷水柱，形态各异，和主体喷泉的雄豪相映衬，别有一番情趣。
广场南侧，高高地矗立着《王震将军》气宇轩昂的铜像，依稀可见当年王震将军走马踏勘、憧憬新城的风采。广场东西两侧有两组群雕，东侧是《边塞新乐章》群雕，西侧是《军垦第一犁》群雕，和《王震将军》铜像呈品字型呼应,共同构成军垦新城的独特城雕，两侧以远，还有《绿风》和《清泉》的雕像，寄托着人们的向往和追求。
