The advance in research on the occurrence of invisible gold is reviewed, including gold occurrence in the Carlin-type gold deposits, some other types of mesothermal gold deposits and associated gold in some base metal massive sulfide deposits, and experiments on the synthesis of gold-bearing minerals and adsorption of gold onto minerals.
