浙江广厦猛狮篮球队属于北派打法，比赛作风硬朗，除保持了传统打法外，又培养了快、准、灵的特点。
目前球队中拥有家贾楠等多名效力过cba的队员。2005年联赛结束后，球队又引进了马超等多名优秀的年年轻队员，进一步充实球队的实力。俱乐部在2005年成立了青年队，其中有两名年轻队员入选去美国篮球学员深造。
俱乐部美籍主教练约翰·纽曼的带领下获得了2006年全国男子篮球联赛的冠军并成功积极cba。球队将进一步优化球队结构，积极培育浙江球比市场，力争在今天的比赛中获得好成绩。
