| 侗寨鼓楼 一种具宝塔形建筑物。建于中国贵州黎平、榕江、从江、天柱等县侗族聚居的村寨中。以杉木作建筑材料，不施一钉一铆，柱、枋的横穿、斜挂、直撑，一律采取接榫与悬柱结构，牢固而又谨严。第一层为正方形，与地平相距约2～3米。以上各层为多角形，且有飞檐。顶部中央多安琉璃葫芦，脊棱缓缓翻卷成翘角。顶楼常悬“款鼓”一面，遇事由“款首”击鼓集众，决策定夺。底楼多设大厅，楼前有广场，楼侧或联建戏台和厢房。当地喜庆佳节，都以鼓楼为娱乐中心。由于侗族历来是同姓聚居，一寨一姓建鼓楼一座；一寨多姓则建多座。因此，鼓楼又是族姓的形象标志。黎平县肇兴纪堂鼓楼，从江县停洞增冲鼓楼，建于清代中叶，经历漫长岁月，至今保存完好，充分显示了古代侗族人民的聪明才智和高度的建筑艺术水平。
