一种实用的游泳。在日常生活中,特别是在战胜洪水或战争中,需要穿着服装游渡河川,这就是着装泅渡。这种泅渡分为利用具有浮力的器物和不利用器物两种。着装泅渡前，应先把领扣解开，衣裤口袋翻过来，脱下鞋子绑在腰上，以减轻游渡的负担。在集体泅渡时，必须作好组织工作。每组人员按游泳技术好坏均匀搭配。在水面宽阔或在急流逆水中，都要安排好泅渡的顺序，特别要考虑借助工具浮力的可能性，选择可靠的泅渡工具，了解水流的速度，视察和确定到达的目标。泅渡人员的间隔不宜过近或过远，过近会妨碍个人动作，过远则难以互相照顾。游渡时一般采用蛙泳或侧泳，也可交替使用这两种姿势。在集体游渡时，对于不太会游泳或游泳水平较低的人，可以借助小木排，由别人推扶或用绳索拖带前进(图1～5)。
