According to the examination of many Cardiograptus there are good distal ends of which in hundreds specimen and the analysis of the development of the graptolite stipes, the author believes that ‘distal end deeply emarginate’is not characteristic of Cardiograptus.

Based on the analysis and study of poptolite fossil data from well Tazhong 29 in Tdrim Basin, it is considered that the geologic time of the graptolites is Middle Ordovician and early Late Oniovician,approximately corresponding to Caradoc in westem Europe.
