顿村温泉度假村位于忻州市区北境的秦城乡顿村，地热面积13平方公里，温泉水温50℃，系含氡、氟、硫化氢、硅酸盐等十几种矿物质超级复合矿泉水，其泉水珍贵、奇特，矿物质丰富，有极高的医疗、保健价值，被中外浴者称为“祛病泉”、“不老泉”。神奇的水，与忻州市秀美的山、奇妙的洞珠联壁合，形成旅游业中最富地方特色的“水连洞”格局。
温泉度假村控制面积三千亩，规划面积一千亩，起步面积五百亩。1993年6月破土兴建以来，现已完成“五通一平”基础建设，即供排水、供热、供电、通讯、通路和土地平整。温泉水供给量每小时达到120立方米。
温泉度假村自兴建以来，已有十八家客商进村投资，引进资金累计总额为1．9亿元，建起风格各异的楼房别墅30余幢，游泳馆两座，建筑面积2万平方米。现已成为一处集疗养、旅游、健身、娱乐为一体的多功能、高起点的温泉度假场所，每日吸引国内外众多游客，仅1995年就接待中外游客15万人次。
温泉度假村地处旅游名城太原、大同及佛教圣地五台山的交叉地带，距忻州市区8公里，2公里长的二级公路直通大运国道。区位优越，设施先进，交通便利，走在了时代的潮头。山西省委书记胡富国两年前来这里考察后，欣然挥毫题词——“三晋第一村”。
