道德榜样(m oral example)品德高尚值得人们钦佩和效法的楷模。他们身上集中而又具体地体现出一定社会、一定阶级的道德准则。在我国，像为国捐躯的英雄、公而忘私的模范等等优秀人物，都可以说是高尚道德准则的化身、品格完美的典范、值得学习的楷模。由于道德榜样富有直观性、感染性和现实性，易于激起人们敬仰的情感和模仿的愿望，故运用道德榜样教育学生，是培养学生优良品德的有效措施之一。研究表明，道德榜样形象对学生的道德行为具有如下四个方面的调节作用:(l)启动。可以启发、推动学生从不愿做好事到主动去找好事做。(2)控制。可以使学生自觉主动地制止自己不符合道德要求的念头和行动。(3)调整。可以使学生增强抵制干扰的意志和调整行动的力量，坚持做完好事。(4)矫正。可以使学生不断地努力克服缺点，改正错误。据研究，最能吸引学生去学习的榜样应具有下列特点:(l)榜样在优点上胜过学习者，能引起学习者为弥补缺点而去学习的意向。(2)榜样的可接近性，使学习者感到有相似之处可以学习。(3)榜样的特点突出、生动，能引起学习者的注意与兴趣。(4)榜样的权威性，即公认是值得学习的榜样或由于权威人物的推许从而会引起敬仰的心情。(5)榜样人物具有强烈的感染力，能使学习者产生爱慕、激动等体验。此外，榜样在学习者的下列心理状态下容易发生作用:(l)具有寻求榜样的需要。(2)具有与榜样人物一致的道德意识倾向性。(3)具有较高水平的道德评价能力。(4)具有虚心、实事求是等个性特征。 (成立夫撰匪互国审)
