资产清查是指资产评估机构对立项批准通知书中批准的资产评估对象，按照资产类别、规格型号、制造厂家、购置和制造日期、存量、金额等项目，一一清点、核实并进行登记造册。资产清查的目的是在不影响经营的前提下清查核实各项资产和负债，并在此基础上，按照评估基准日资产的实际存量、存放地点、资产状况等进行调查、统计，掌握资产的实际情况。
