江苏武进人。九三学社成员。1952年毕业于江苏师范学院外语系。历任西南外语学院助教，四川财经学院讲师，新体育杂志社及人民体育出版社编辑、记者、翻译、副编审，编审。1956年开始发表作品。1987年加入中国作家协会。著有长篇小说《八卦杰》、《赛蛟龙》、《剑胆英魂》、《天骄风流》，长篇传记文学《聂旋风传奇》、《太极孙》、《霍元甲》，长篇纪实文学《八路军战斗队》、《奥林匹克运动会》、《二十五个匈牙利运动员》，中篇纪实文学《聂旋风再卷狂飙》，报告文学《珠峰四勇士》、《雪岭雄鹰》、《棋坛明星》、《武林英豪》，中长篇小说《无穷的潜力》、《值得纪念的号码》、《改革风云》、《将门虎子》、《仗剑赴东瀛》、《太极神功》等。
