| 星协 stellar association 起源相同、物理特性相似，聚集在一定区域内的恒星群体。由苏联天文学家V.A.阿姆巴楚米扬最早发现。星协是很稀松的恒星群体。在星协中，虽然某一特定类型的恒星的空间密度很高，但总的恒星空间密度却很低，不仅远低于星团，甚至还低于周围星场。星协是很年轻的恒星系统。一方面，组成星协的都是很年轻的恒星。另一方面，星协是不稳定的恒星系统，有的星协在向外膨胀。因此，它们不可能维持太久。据估计，星协的年龄一般为几百万年。星协可分为两类。一类称为O星协，是O、B型星（见恒星光谱分类）的集合，几乎所有的O、B星都在O星协内。另一类称为T星协，是金牛座T型变星的集合。星协常同气体尘埃星云有物理上的联系；同年轻的星团、聚星等也有联系。在银河系里，星协总是分布在银河系旋臂上。已发现50个O星协，25个T星协。估计银河系内有103个O星协，105个T星协。 |
