As the Liaogu-1 well is located in a special tectonic zone with good hydrogeological condition,continuous and reliable observations have been performed resulting in a wealth of valuable data of seismic observations,which indicate that anomalous variations of hydrochemical elements serves as a good precursor to earthquakes with M≥5.

羊八井地热位于拉萨市西北90公里的当雄县境内，方圆7000公里。温度保持在47.c左右，是中国大陆上开发的第一个湿蒸汽田，也是世界上海拔最高的地热发电站。
