决策支持系统的组成部分，包括方法库、方法库管理系统和方法库字典。方法库系统可分为三个层次：基础级、匹配级和应用级。基础级上提供的方法称为元方法，构成方法库的基础集。应用级上给终端用户提供应用问题的数学模型。在早期的计算机文献中把方法库的这一形态称为模型库。匹配级处于基础级和应用级之间，把基本方法合成为专用方法，并使数据和加工方法衔接。
