The diurnal and seasonal variations of air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, wind speed and wind direction from September 1, 2006 to August 31, 2007 were analyzed, using the observation data from an automatic weather station (AWS) at Lanong Glacier of Nyainqentanglha Range.

位于距离江孜县城71公里、浪卡子县城3033里的卡惹拉山口侧，在公路上即可看到。卡惹拉山口高5036米，山口南面6647米的卡鲁峰是年楚河和羊卓雍湖两大水系的分水岭，此峰周围冰川地貌突出。卡惹拉冰川在山口北面5600米左右的地带，属宁金抗沙峰冰川向南漂移后形成的悬冰川。由于长年受公路上的车尘的覆盖，此冰川整体呈黑白分层形态。
从卡惹拉山口向西30余公里，即抵达目前西藏装机容量最大的满拉水电站。该电站建在年楚河上游两条重要的支流--学堆河与涅如藏布的汇合处。涅如藏布发源于康布县东南与不丹交界的群峰之中。是年楚河的正源。
