During the study of geological work on the middle segment of Wudang Mountain Nappes the author of this paper discovered six stages of superimposed folds (B_1~B_6).
武当山推覆体中段存在六期叠加褶皱(B_1～B_6),其中B_1,B_2,B_3为推覆期前褶皱,B_4,B_5为推覆期褶皱,B_6为推覆期后褶皱。

On the basis of detailed observation of the small folds at the outcrops in the studied re-gion,we think that three-period superimposed folds exist in this area.
笔者对研究区露头上的小褶皱进行了详细观测后认为：该区存在三期叠加褶皱；借助褶皱不同部位上的岩组分析，可以从微观上验证叠加褶皱的次数；通过叠加褶皱及其岩组分析，有助于恢复区域构造样式、划分地层及判断构造环境。
