The peak metamorphism occurred at least in the high_pressure eclogite facies at a lower temperature gradient.

The typical mineral assemblages of the eclogite facies in rock serieses such as ultrabasic, basic, pelitic, felsic, quartzose and carbonate rocks are given in this paper, and the concept of the eclogite fades is reaffirmed.

We report an unusual garnet pyroxenite, as a nodule enclosed within kyanite eclogites from Rongcheng, northeastern Sulu UHP metamorphic belt.
