South China structural province is the multi arc basin system on the south eastrn margin of the Pan Cathaysian continental group theoretically which is one of the three continental groups - Laurasia group, Gondwana group, and Pan Cathaysian continental group based on the multi arc basin system.

大陆动物区系可分为三个基本区划。
①南陆界，这个界包括有一个区即澳新区，本区内哺乳动物为原兽类和后兽类和极少量的真兽类。
②新陆界，这个界只包括新热带区一个区，本界内哺乳动物为较原始的真兽类和后兽类。
③北陆界，这个界包括古热带区、东洋区、新北区和古北区，哺乳动物几乎全是真兽类，只在与南陆界和新陆界交界的地方有极少量的后兽类。
