季节性河流又称间歇性河流、时令河，指河流在枯水季节，河水断流、河床裸露，；丰水季节，形成水流，甚至洪水奔腾。这类河流通常流经高温干旱的区域，而且年平均流量较小，但因暴雨、融雪引发的洪峰却很大。
现时因人类对河流的过度引水、截流会使常年河流变成季节性河流。
