With JASON-1 and TOPEX/POSEIDON measurements taken during the verification phase in the China Seas and Northwest Pacific Ocean,such parameters as the sea surface wind speed,significant wave height,backscatter coefficient and sea surface height are compared systematically,and the coherence of the two missions is analyzed.

Based on altimetric observation of sea surface wind speeds over the South China Sea from Geosat satellite during the period between November 1986 to March 1989, the statistical characteristics of the sea surface wind speeds and the seasonal features of the wind field over the area are studied.

Study on the time-series wind speed forecasting of the wind farm based on time series;

Study on the Short-Term Wind Speed Forecasting of the Wind Farm;

Short-term wind speed forecasting for wind farms based on empirical mode decomposition model

Analyzing and recounting methods of wind speed forecast and its use in actual engineering.

For this reason,a wind speed forecasting method based on wavelet-neural network is proposed.

The three questions are:wind speed soft sonsor for wind turbin controls,wind speed prediction in wind farm and short term wind speed simulation.

In order to improve the predictive accuracy,the ARMA model is used to model the residual errors of wind prediction,and the prediction of residual errors is used to rectify the wind speed prediction.
