| 丽鲷科 Cichlidae；cichlids 鲈形目的一科。共有84属680种。因许多种类具鲜艳的色彩和奇异的形态且接近鲷类而得名。体长椭圆形，侧扁；侧线中断为二；上下颌齿通常为圆锥形；犁骨与腭骨一般无齿；下咽骨愈合，略呈三角形；头部每侧仅有1个鼻孔；背鳍1个，基部长；鳍棘部长于鳍条部；臀鳍至少具3鳍棘；腹鳍1～5，胸位。分布在南美、中美、非洲、西南亚和印度。中非洲水域种类最多，在非洲的大湖中几达200种。中国已引进该科的丽鲷属的4种鱼类进行养殖。丽鲷多为观赏鱼类，能在水族箱中生活和顺利地繁殖。又因本科是海浸后残留在内陆变为淡水鱼类的，故迄今尚很易被驯化为海水生活。 |
