为蓼科植物腋花蓼的全株。
【植物形态】
腋花蓼 一年生草本。茎匍伏状，多分枝，长15～30厘米；枝披散，柔弱，平滑或具白色略粗糙的线条，节间通常短于叶，叶小，互生，线形、狭矩圆形或稍匙形，长6～18毫米，宽2～5毫米，先端钝，基部渐狭成一短柄；托叶鞘膜质透明，边缘撕裂状。花极小，具短柄，1～3朵簇生于托叶鞘内；花被长不及2毫米，5深裂，裂片绿色，边缘白色；雄蕊8；花柱3。瘦果卵形，有3棱。花期5～6月。 生于原野、荒地、路旁。我国大部分地区均有分布。

开花时采收。
【性味】
苦，平。
【归经】
入肝、牌、胃、大肠经。
【功用主治】
利屎通淋，化湿杀虫。治恶疮疥癣，阴蚀，蛔虫病。
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，3～5钱。
【选方】
①治尿路感染和结石：小萹蓄，马先蒿、瞿麦。煎服。 ②治蛔虫上攻：小萹蓄配醋蒸服。 ③治黄疸：小萹蓄配桂枝或苦荞叶煎服。
