胶莱盆地为右行非对称性菱形拉分盆地,其西部北北东向边界断裂和东部北东向边界断裂为Y主剪切断裂,南部北东向边界断裂为R剪切断裂,北部北东东-东西向边界断裂为R'剪切断裂。
