描述DrejerellaLindau虾衣花属，爵床科，约12种，产墨西哥，我国只有虾衣花D.guttata(Brandegee）Bremek.1种，长江流域以南各地花圃常栽培，供观赏。形态特征参阅《中国高等植物图鉴》第四册117页，图5768。

最近有人建议将本种转移至广义的Justicia属，并另拟新名。JusticiabrandegeanaWasshausenetL.B.Smith。（参阅Fl.illus.Catarinense1（Acan.）：102，1969。）
