水源洞为凌云之冠，是中国十大溶洞之一，洞内有泉涌出，汇入澄碧河，流入珠江，为珠江之源头，故名水源洞。水源洞分第一洞天问心庙和内洞探奇二部分。
第一洞天最宽处为31米，最高处为20.8米。占地约2万2千平方米，泉水清澈透明，涛奔雷怒，气势磅礴，洞口崖壁上有近百幅历代名人骚客留下的石刻，问心庙以天然大厅为佛殿，始建于康熙年间，历史悠久，香火旺盛。
