| 狭口蛙属 Kaloula 无尾目姬蛙科的一属。腭部横置的二肤棱明显。皮肤厚，富有腺体，有利于穴居防御干旱；雄蛙腹面皮肤多有厚的皮肤腺。后肢粗短，蹠突发达，适应于掘土穴居。体形大，长可达70毫米。约10种，主要分布于亚洲东南部。中国现有5种。仅北方狭口蛙的分布区达北温带。该属动物多栖息于水坑或房屋附近的草丛中、土穴内或石下，吞食白蚁和小形昆虫。平时很难见到。蝌蚪吞食浮游生物；发育迅速，大约3周即完成变态，这是对易于干涸水体的适应。
