To obtain high performance carbon fibers and its precursors,based on observation of structural defects of precursor and carbon fibers with SEM and TEM,this paper analyzed the causes of these structural defects,and put forward the controlling approaches,in hopes of providing theoretical basis for preparation of high performance carbon fibers.
