To improve the estimate precision of the high resolution seismic data instantaneous frequency(IF)and so much the better show the strata characteristics, such as rock properties, subsurface structure and the extending of oil gas, a new method of seismic data IF estimation based on the finite impulse response filters having maximally flat frequency response was proposed.
