| 向风群岛 Windward Islands 位于加勒比海东缘，为西印度群岛中小安的列斯群岛中部岛群。音译温德华群岛。向风群岛之称，谓其面向东北信风，与背风群岛均系英国命名。而西班牙等国按传统习惯 ，把二者及特立尼达岛作为小安的列斯群岛中面向信风的统一岛群，合称为向风群岛；荷兰称作向风群岛的3个岛屿 ，则位于英国命名的背风群岛之中。呈南北向弧形分布，北隔多米尼加海峡与背风群岛相邻。自北向南包括多米尼加、马提尼克、圣卢西亚、圣文森特、格林纳达5个较大岛屿及格林纳丁斯群岛。面积3239平方千米。人口约75万。多为黑人和黑白混血种人。原为英、法两国殖民地，现除马提尼克仍为法国海外省外，其他各主要岛屿均于20世纪70年代独立。向风群岛多系火山岛，地势高峻，有活火山。属热带雨林气候，年平均气温28℃，年降水量约2000毫米。经济以农业、旅游业为主，盛产甘蔗、海岛棉等热带经济作物。
