In order to determine the optimal conditions of water glass from oil shale ash, through orthogonal experiment, the influences of correlative parameters including NaOH concentration, material ratio (NaOH to oil shale ash in weight), reaction time and reaction temperature on the modulus of water glass or deliquescent rate of SiO2 were all studied.
