   中国古代青铜铸件。因在阳光照射下其背面图文能映到墙上而得名。其透光现象是镜面存在许多微小的凸凹不平的曲率差异所致,图文处镜面微凹,非图文处镜面微凸。凹处光线会聚,凸处光线发散,在映像中出现与背面图文相应的亮部和暗部,从而在墙上形成镜背面的图文。现存透光镜为西汉时期文物,表明汉代在铜合金的冶炼、铸造和加工等方面已达到较高技术水平。
