主要研究肿节少穗竹的地下茎的生物学特性,即竹鞭年生长规律、竹鞭垂直分布与水平分布、竹鞭芽变化规律及竹鞭根系生长规律,研究结果表明:竹鞭延伸生长量与温度关系密切,一年中鞭笋生长量随着月均温的升高而加大,8月达到最大,到12月冬季来临进入休眠;竹鞭主要分布在0~40 cm土层,且分布较为均匀,40 cm以下分布很少;2~3龄鞭壮芽数、笋芽数最多,转化为笋及鞭也多。
