Based on the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data,an investigation has been carried on the climatologically structural and evolutional features of the East Asian subtropical summer monsoon trough(STSMT) and its comparison with the South China Sea summer monsoon trough(SCSSMT).

The seasonal variations of the intensity and location of the East Asian subtropical Westerly Jet(EAWJ) and its thermal mechanism are analyzed by using the NCEP/NCAR monthly reanalysis data from 1961 to 2000.
利用1961—2000年NCEP/NCAR月平均再分析资料对东亚副热带西风急流强度和位置的季节变化进行了分析,指出急流位置季节变化不仅有明显的南北向移动,6—7月还存在东西方向的突变特征,同时急流轴在北进过程中具有东西向的不一致性,急流中心强度的变化超前于位置的南北移动。

Using the monthly mean reanalysis datasets from the NCAR/NCEP,relationships of the interannual variation between an eastern Asia[CD*2]Pacific dipole(APD) mode and the East Asian subtropical monsoon are studied.

With 1958 - 1997 NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data and 1961 - 1995 summer (JJA) rainfall and temperature records of 160 stations in China, a new East Asian subtropical summer monsoon circulation index is defined, in which the barotropic and baroclinic components of the circulation are included.
采用大气环流正、斜压分解方法,从东亚副热带夏季风为正、斜压混合型季风观点出发,定义并计算了1958-1997年东亚副热带夏季风环流指数。
