From the Bahadur-type relation (between) the true errors and residuals in the L_1-norm estimation, it can be seen that the gross errors are almost completely projected onto the corresponding residuals, which is why the gross errors can be correctly located in the L_1-norm estimation.

To enlarge the parameter estimation range in the algorithm for estimation of LFM(linear frequency modulation) signal parameters,and improved algorithm was proposed based on the method of rotate-add-decimate(RAD) for frequency measurement,and it was implemented with the method of linear iterative prediction.
