In order to discover the interannual variability mechanism of sea ice in the Antarctica, based on the NSIDC sea ice data and NDEP wind data, the international variation of the sea ice concentration and its relation to the Ekman transport driven by the westerlies in 5 areas, where the interannual variations of the sea ice concentration are larger, was analyzed.
