1989年1月13日，经国务院批准，颁布《国家重点保护野生动物名录》。根据我
国《野生动物保护法》和有关法律、法规的规定，由林业部和农业部共同拟定的
名录共列出国家一级重点保护野生动物96个种或种类，如大熊猫、金丝猴、长臂
猿、白鳍豚、中华鲟等；列出二级重点保护野生动物160个种或种类，如猕猴、
黑熊、金猫、马鹿、黄羊、天鹅、玳瑁、文昌鱼等。名录还对水生、陆生野生动
物作了具体划分，明确了由渔业、林业行政主管部门分别主管的具体种类。这次
颁布名录是为了进一步加强对国家重点保护野生动物的保护，如有人捕杀或倒卖
名录内所列的野生动物，将受到法律的惩处。
