直-9c型反潜艇直升机是法国as-565型"美洲豹”式直升机的国产改进型,由哈尔滨飞机制造公司生产。它是一种多功能中型舰载直升机,可用于实施反潜作战和执行搜索救援任务。20世纪80年代,中国购买了大约20架"美洲豹”海军直升机,用于加强水面舰队的实力。这些直升机由中国人民解放军海军各种型号的水面战舰搭载,广泛用于军事演习中的反潜战、搜索、救援及海上运补任务。此后,中国哈尔滨飞机制造厂发展了国产直-9直升机的海军型,即仿造的as-565型直升机的姐妹版as-365n1"海豚2”型直升机,其部分设计借鉴?as-565。这一海军改进型被命名为直-9c,它与as-565有着相似的武器、装备和构造。
除了执行反潜/搜救任务外,直-9c型直升机还可用于提高人民解放军海军舰艇远距离观测、侦察和攻击能力。当该型直升机的klc-1型平面搜索雷达是一种x波段海上搜索和侦察雷达,主要用于搜索和跟踪水面舰艇,为发动超视距反舰巡航导弹攻击提供目标信息。当机载雷达探测到敌舰时,目标信息可通过数据链传回母舰,母舰的反舰导弹利用直升机发来的引导数据,执行超视距攻击。
直-9c基本的战术技术性能是,空重2050公斤,最大起飞重量4100公斤,最大载重量1900公斤,最大外挂重量1600公斤,最大时速305公里,巡航时速250~260公里,实用升限6000米。
