海洋号战列舰(ocean)原名让•巴尔号，1936年改名海洋号，因为黎赛留级战列舰的二号舰被命名为让·巴尔号，1938年海洋号战列舰改为练习舰，第二次世界大战时期1940年法国战败投降，海洋号被德军控制，1944年3月被德军炸沉。
1909年法国海军开工建造了4艘科尔贝级战列舰：科尔贝号、海洋号(原名:让•巴尔号)、巴黎号、法兰西号。科尔贝级还未完工，无论是火炮口径、射程还是火力布局方面都已经落后于时代。该级舰于1926年-1929年进行了改装，改建上层建筑，换装新式锅炉，改装火控系统，加装防空火炮。此型战列舰正常排水量22,189吨，舰长168米，舰宽28米，最大吃水9米，主机功率28,000马力，航速：20节；装备12门双联装305毫米口径主炮；22门138毫米口径副炮。
