The evolutionary features of the whole tropospheric precipitable water,the intensity of vertical ascending motion in the lower layers over Hangzhou,and the surface precipitation in Hangzhou are analyzed by the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis grid data of humidity and vertical velocity,as well as the stationary data of precipitation in Hangzhou,from January 1951 to November 2003.
