梳趾鼠科(栉趾鼠科)是生活在非洲撒哈拉沙漠一带多岩石地带的小型啮齿类。梳趾鼠动作非常灵敏,是攀登岩石的高手,可以爬上垂直的裸岩。梳趾鼠毛质松软,可以抵御阳光的暴晒,适应岩石沙漠地区的生活。梳趾鼠社会性较强,可以发出独特的声音用以互相联络。梳趾鼠科的分类地位有一定的争议,有人将其置于鼠型亚目,也有人认为其可自成一个亚目。
