In this paper a novel compound 11,23-dihexanoyl-26,28-dimethoxycalix[4]arene was synthesized selectively from 26,28-dimethoxycalix[4]arene by Fries rearrangement with hexanoyl chloride,and the highest rate of the yield could reach 58.
