By analyzing the components and structure of the clay sediments from the investigated area of China in east Pacific, the authors have divided the clay sediments into seven types based on their compositions, among which I/S+Kao+Q sediment is richest in clay minerals.
对东太平洋-中国大洋调查区粘土沉积物组成和结构进行了分析,并根据其物相组成划分了 7个沉积物类型,其中以伊/蒙+高岭石+石英型沉积物中粘土矿物含量最高;IR分析证明东太平洋粘土沉积物中富含有机质;对沉积物粒度分布和XRD测试结果显示,东太平洋粘土与地表同类粘土相比粒度明显细小且结晶差;SEM结果显示东太平洋粘土矿物为絮状和片状;综合分析东太平洋粘土的结构特征认为其活性比地表同类粘土大,预示该地区海洋粘土将会有更好更广的用途。
