男性性别角色认同说(theory of malesex role identifieation)有关获得男性角色的特殊历程的一种传统心理学观点。其基本主张:(l)在性别角色认同的过程中，男性获得性别角色要经历转折。男孩最初与女孩一样，是以母亲作为自己角色认同的榜样，但男孩要形成男性化的性别定型，这个最初的认同就要被打断，并转移到父亲和其他男性榜样上去，这给男性心理带来了许多独特的问题。(2)男性的性别角色认同的发展容易出现差错和偏离。如在寻求进行性别改换手术的人中，男变女与女变男的人数比例为3:1。(3)获得男性的心理行为特征是良好的心理顺应所必需，没有父亲的家庭中的男孩会得不到“正常的培养”。(4)男性对女性的不良态度和行为可归咎于母亲所引起的性别角色认同方面的问题:男孩从小受母亲管制，长大了则力图反过来控制女性;男性经历性别角色认同的转折，会对自己的女性成分感到担忧，便通过控制女性来克服;男孩子在表现出女性化行为时会受到母亲的惩罚，故会厌恶母亲及其他女性。(5)男孩在学校中产生的学习和心理适应_L的问题是由于学校是女性的世界所造成的。学界认为这些主张是传统的男女观念，缺乏科学的依据。 (葛香嘉撰高玉祥审)
